MBI's first extrusion lines will be starting up shortly at our new facility to begin production of multi-denier polypropylene cartridge filters. Using the latest in meltblown fiber technology we will begin producing finished filter cartridges in a variety of lengths and micron ratings to meet the need of the liquid filtration industries and markets.

Our filters are produced from 100% pure virgin polypropylene and are free of surfactants, finishes, binders, binder fibers and adhesives. Our filters utilize FDA listed material ensuring the highest purity standards.

The polypropylene fiber construction provides high compatibility with most liquids and provides resistance to acids and bases. This allows for uses in a wide variety of markets and industries.

Progress continues on the construction of the first Spunbond Line in Qatar. Our Galileo Giotto Line is targeted to be in start up during second quarter 2012 and in production at midyear. Giotto will produce fine denier spunbond polypropylene from 10-100 gsm for customers in the Gulf, Europe and USA.

Customers are anxious to begin trials and market development with this new entry into the global spunbond market. Market interest is high and many inquiries have been made about our new Galileo spunbond process.

MB International is pleased to announce it’s new manufacturing site near Manama, where a new state-of –the –art facility will produce polypropylene multi-denier cartridge filters. The filters will be produced primarily to supply the liquid filtration markets in the MENA region. The plant will use proprietary technology to produce advanced meltblown cartridge filters for use in water and other fluid markets. Galileo will deliver a new single beam line later this year using its unique and economical Giotto process. The Giotto process is the newest addition to the Galileo Technology Lineup and provides high quality production at unusually low investment. A Joint Industrial Cooperation Agreement was signed between MB International, wll and Comerio Ercole s.P.a. wherein Comerio will produce certain key components for the Galileo Group’s spunbond lines, including but not limited to the calendar rolls for which Comerio is world famous. This cooperation will assure our customers that they are receiving only the highest quality and time-tested components when they purchase our equipment.
